Lee's Summit, Mo. -- Memorial services for Virginia R. Brain, 76, Lee's Summit, were held here Monday. Graveside services were Monday at Lee's Summit Cemetery.
Mrs. Brain died Friday, Jan. 28, 1994, at a Lee's Summit nursing home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1917, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Harry DeBolt and Dorothy Ruth Foster.
She was a lifelong resident of the Lee's Summit area.
Mrs. Brain worked for the Lee's Summit public library. She was a member of the John Knox Village Church and of the John Knox Village Auxiliary in Lee's Summit.
She was married to James W. Brain. He died in 1963.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith L. Kraus, Mountain View, Calif., and Nancy Wilson, Lawrence, Kan.; a son, James N. Brain, Guerneville, Calif.; two sisters, Adele Duy, Deepwater, and Colleen Thebo, Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Langsford-Cox Funeral Home in Lee's Summit was in charge of arrangements.
