EL DORADO Services for Genevieve Howell, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. William Hensley, Lawrence, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado.
Mrs. Howell died Saturday, Jan. 29, 1994, at her home.
She was born June 4, 1910, at El Dorado, the daughter of Bill and Clara B. Tipton.
Mrs. Howell moved to Miami, Okla., three years ago after having spent most of her life in El Dorado. A seamstress who was well-known for her intricate crochet work at county fairs, Mrs. Howell was a member of the Methodist church and an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
She married John Howell in 1928. He was killed Dec. 4, 1941.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ruthetta Foss, Miami, Okla.; two sons, Charles Howell, Greensburg, and Alvin Howell, Lawrence; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will meet with friends from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.
