Services for Clarence C. Transmeier, 81, Mission, Tex., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence, followed by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Transmeier died Friday, Dec. 2, 1994, at a hospital in McAllen, Tex.
He was born Jan. 16, 1913, in Overbrook, the son of Herman and Lydia Stahl Transmeier. He graduated from Lecompton High School.
From 1954 to 1968, Mr. Transmeier was the owner and operator of the Rambler Motels in Hutchinson, Walsenburg, Colo., and Nevada, Mo. He also had been a patrolman and undersheriff in Johnson County.
He had lived in Texas since 1980.
Mr. Transmeier was a former member of the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge in Hutchinson and a member of the Episcopal Church in Nevada, Mo.
Mr. Transmeier married Erma Irlene Elliott on March 4, 1933, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry, Kansas City, Mo., and Ross, Grand Junction, Colo.; a daughter, Sondra LePome, Avon, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon until 9 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assn. They may be sent in care of the funeral home.
