Services for Mary Elizabeth Jamison Dodds, 96, are pending and will be announced later by the family. Burial will be in the Dodds family plot at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Dodds died Friday, Aug. 12, 1994, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Dec. 1, 1897, in Beresford, S.D., the daughter of the Rev. H.W. and Carolyn Hyde Jamison.
She graduated from the former College of Yankton, S.D., in 1920. She was initiated in the P.E.O. in Pierre, S.D., in 1930. She moved to Lawrence in 1933 for a job with the Douglas County Red Cross.
Mrs. Dodds was a member of the EA Chapter of the P.E.O. and was active with the Kansas Crippled Children's Society, the Ventura Study Club, Lawrence Music Club and the First Presbyterian Church.
She married Caryl J. Dodds in 1935. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Dodds Dooley, Peoria, Ariz.; a brother, the Rev. Winfield Jamison, Mason, Mich.; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Presbyterian Manor or the First Presbyterian Church.
