Services for Thurman S. "Pete" Edmonds, 82, McLouth, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at McLouth United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Powell officiating. Burial will be in Fowler Cemetery, northeast of McLouth.

Mr. Edmonds died Monday, Aug. 1, 1994, at Jefferson County Memorial Hospital in Winchester.

He was born Jan. 9, 1912, in McLouth, the son of Edwin S. and Rachel Edmonds Edmonds. He grew up in the Baldwin and Parsons areas and moved back to McLouth in 1941.

Mr. Edmonds was a farmer in the McLouth area for many years.

He was a member of the McLouth United Methodist Church, the McLouth Kiwanis Club, the Jefferson County Farm Bureau, the Jefferson County Historical Society and the Jefferson County Zoning Board for many years.

Survivors include a sister, Hazel Edmonds Bush, Melbourne, Iowa; two nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas, and a sister, Leah Mary Reedy.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Memorial contributions may be made to the McLouth United Methodist Church or to the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital.
