Services for Arthur L. Braden, 80, Lawrence, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary with the Rev. Rod Hinkle officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Braden died Saturday, April 23, 1994, at his home.
He was born June 8, 1913, in Rockton, Ark., the son of Bradley and Minnie Ford Braden.
Mr. Braden, who had spent most of his life in Lawrence, retired in 1978 after working as a miller for 30 years with Safeway Cereal Mills, Bonner Springs.
He was a member of Lawrence Heights Christian Church.
Mr. Braden married Fern Christie Sept. 25, 1934, in Marysville. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Duane, Lawrence; two daughters, Leota Wyatt, Topeka, and Sharon Guffey, Lawrence; a sister, Isalena Allegeier, Beattie; six grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter; seven great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County or to the Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn. Memorials may be sent in care of the mortuary.
