Burglaries and thefts reported

-- A black, 1986 Honda Accord valued on a police report at $7,000 was taken between 2:15 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. Saturday from the 2300 block of West 24th Street Terrace, police reported.

Police reports

-- A 41-year-old Lawrence woman was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after she allegedly was struck by a friend of her son's who had been spending the night with the family. Police Sgt. Mark Warren said the friend, a juvenile, allegedly entered the woman's room and touched her about 1:15 a.m. Sunday. After the woman told him to leave, the boy again went to her room, Warren said. The woman and her son then forced the boy out of the residence and a fight ensued, Warren said. The woman was struck on the face, he said. The friend, who also allegedly touched the woman's 14- and 16-year-old daughters that night in a sexual manner, was detained by police. Warren refused to release the boy's age or hometown.

Injury accidents

Sherry Aldridge, Baldwin, was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being injured in an accident at 5:45 p.m. Saturday about five miles southeast of Lawrence on country road 1750E. Aldridge was driving a 1990 Dodge north on 1750E near Vinland when the vehicle lost control and overturned, sheriff's officers reported.

-- Dave Reynolds, 20, 1517 W. Ninth, was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being injured in an accident about 11 a.m. Saturday at 23rd and Barker. Reynolds was driving a 1986 Honda west on 23rd when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 1988 Volvo that was stopped in traffic. The driver of the Volvo was Ann Rodocker, 29, Overland Park. Reynolds was cited for inattentive driving, having no proof of insurance and driving with expired registration. LMH had no record of treatment for Reynolds.

Condition reports

-- Katherine M. Beran, 26, 811 W. 29th Ter., was listed in fair condition today at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being injured in an accident last Monday on 31st near Louisiana.

-- Mert Blocker, 66, Topeka, was dismissed Saturday from the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., after being burned by hot asphalt Tuesday at Lawrence Asphalt Co. plant east of Lawrence on Kansas Highway 10.

-- Edward L. Erskin, 40, Rt. 3, Lawrence, was listed in fair condition today at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., where he was taken by helicopter after being injured in an accident Friday about two miles north of Lawrence near Midland Junction.

-- Michael Smith, 46, Lawrence, was listed in fair condition today at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., with injuries he suffered in a June 21 car accident on Kansas Highway 32.

-- Matthew and Jason Guthrie, both 6, were listed in fair condition at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. They were injured in an automobile accident Aug. 24 east of the Douglas-Leavenworth county line.

-- Timothy Manis, 39, Meriden, was upgraded to fair condition today at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, where he were taken after being injured in a traffic accident Aug. 23 about one-half mile west of Lecompton.
