Services for Stan Lee McCabe, 43, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary with Pastor Charles Gilmore officiating. Cremation will follow.
Mr. McCabe died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1993, at his home following a long illness.
He was born Oct. 8, 1949, in Colby, the son of Melvin and Virginia Hargadine McCabe. He graduated from Tri-Plains High School in Winona and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at Washburn University in 1971.
Mr. McCabe was a member of the chamber of commerce, the Hi-Noon Kiwanis Club and the United Way, all in Emporia, and the United Way in Manhattan.
He was employed as a conversion specialist for the Resolution Trust Corporation in Lawrence. He previously had worked at Capitol Federal Savings in Topeka first as a part-time teller and later as a loan officer and branch manager. He moved to Manhattan in 1972 to be an assistant branch manager for Capitol Federal. In 1977, he transferred to Emporia as a branch manager and vice president. From 1981 to 1983, he was president of Citizen's Mortgage Company in Emporia. He joined Columbia Savings in 1983, and was transferred to Lawrence in 1988 as a senior vice president in loan servicing.
He married Janet K. Feyh on June 6, 1970, in Topeka. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Dacia and Marcy McCabe, of the home; a son, Spencer, Lawrence; his mother, Virginia McCabe, Topeka; a brother, Perry, McPherson; a sister, Nikki Leimer, New Orleans; and grandmothers, Bessie McCabe, Topeka, and Gladys Schmidt, Colby.
The family suggests memorials to the McCabe Children Education Fund. Memorials may be sent in care of the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
