— Services for Emma Viola "Pansy" Paul, 100, Chapman, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Chapman, with the Rev. Richard Lutgen officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Junction City.

Mrs. Paul died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1993, at a Chapman nursing home.

She was born July 6, 1893, in Junction City, the daughter of John W. and Mary Bohn Friess.

She attended school in Junction City and graduated from Junction City High School.

She was a sales clerk at Cole Brothers Dry Goods in Junction City before she moved to Kansas City, where she lived and worked for many years. She moved to Chapman in May 1984.

She was a member of St. Catherine Circle of St. Agnes Church in Mission and a member of the Daughters of Isabella No. 46.

She married Joseph A. Paul on Sept. 17, 1916, in Junction City. He died June 25, 1960.

Survivors include a nephew, J. Robert Fluker, Lawrence; and a niece, Dorothy Gustason, White City.

Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Londeen Funeral Chapel in Chapman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chapman Valley Manor and sent in care of the funeral home.
