-- Carol M. Mendell, 33, 927 Del., and James C. Newman, 3, 204 Sharon Dr., were treated at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and later released after an accident at 5:35 p.m. Friday at Sixth and Alabama. Walker's car, which had slowed for westbound traffic that was stopping, was pushed into the rear of a car driven by Mendell. Harrison was cited for inattentive driving and for not having the child in a car seat.
