Three high school seniors and a junior college transfer signed national letters-of-intent with Kansas, women's coach Marian Washington announced Thursday.
The juco player is Keshana Ledet, a 5-11 power forward who attends Central Arizona College.
Ledet earned honorable mention NJCAA All-America honors and was a first-team Div.1 all-region pick last year after averaging 14 points and 10 boards.
Washington also signed Cynthia Hogg, a 6-2 forward from Lincoln High in Dallas, the same school that sent junior forward Angela Aycock to KU. Hogg averaged 22 points and 16 rebounds her junior season.
KU signed a point guard in 5-8 Tasha King of Harding High in Memphis. King averaged 16 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists her junior season. She also shot 51 percent from the field and had 5.3 steals per game. King was named the Memphis player of the year.
Also signing was 6-3 center Koya Scott of East Plano High in Plano, Texas. Scott averaged 9.0 points and 12 boards her junior season.
KU may sign as many as three additional recruits in April.
"I'm extremely happy with this group of young people," said Washington. "I feel we've signed some really quality young people."
