— Funeral Services for Charles Fredrick Kesinger, 71, Lansing, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Tonganoxie. The Rev. David Petersen will officiate.

A masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Kesinger died Wednesday, May 5, 1993, at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Tonganoxie to Verne and Emma Pellman Kesinger.

Mr. Kesinger had lived in Lansing since moving from Tonganoxie in 1973. He retired after 22 years as an engineer at Lansing State Prison.

He was a member of United Methodist Church, Sertoma Club, Henri Masonic Lodge No. 190 A.F. & A.M. and Rinda Chapter No. 82 O.E.S., all of Tonganoxie; and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Fraternal Order of Police, all of Leavenworth.

Mr. Kesinger served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

He married Inez Cornett on Oct. 21, 1944, in Hastings, Neb. She died in 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Charles of Glen Rose, Tex., and Steven of Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters, Jeannie Massic of Jefferson City, Mo., and Barbara Crouse of McLouth; two brothers, Vernon of Lansing and Asa of Lawrence; a sister, Violet Hall of Huntington Park, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Tonganoxie High School Alumni Scholarship Fund. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
