Funeral services for Carmen Christine King, 65, Linwood, will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Congregational Church in Tonganoxie. The Rev. Sandra Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Sidney Cemetery, Linwood.
Mrs. King died Friday, March 19, 1993, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
She was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Merle and Julia Millard Calaway.
She was a geological consultant for King Associates, Linwood.
Mrs. King earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Kentucky in 1949 and a master's degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1970. She moved to Linwood from Merriam in 1974.
She was the assistant district commissioner for the Peletha District of the Cub Scouts and a member of the First Congregational Church, Tonganoxie.
She married William R. King Jr., on June 9, 1948, in Conneaut, Ohio. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Steven R. King, Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Gail Simunac, Kansas City, Mo.; her mother, Julia Calaway, Tonganoxie; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
