Topeka Services for Ruth Louise Fannin, 83, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary here with the Rev. Tony Gattis officiating. Burial will be at Auburn Cemetery, Auburn.
Mrs. Fannin died Saturday, March 13, 1993, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center, Topeka.
She was born Aug. 11, 1909, at Ashland, Ky., the daughter of John Edward and Ella Eliza McGuire Williams.
She moved from Ashland to Topeka in 1929.
Mrs. Fannin was a foster grandparent at the Kansas Neurological Institute and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Grantville.
Her husband, William S. Fannin Sr., preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Pauline Fannin.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Webster, Atchison, and Dixie Rees, Grantville; two sons, William Fannin Jr., Lawrence, and Eddie Fannin, Topeka; six sisters, Gladys Sleet, Virginia Sweeney, Betty Gunderson, Evelyn Allen, Mary Katherine Vanderpool and Eileen May, all of Ashland, Ky.; a brother, W.J. Williams, Ashland, Ky.; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church at Grantville or to the Kansas Neurological Institute Foster Grandparent Program.
