— Services for Maurice Edward Shotwell, 79, Baldwin will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin. Graveside services and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth.

Mr. Shotwell died Monday June 21, 1993, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Leavenworth. He was born Aug. 24, 1913, in Baldwin, the son of Daniel M. and Tillie Jane Craig Shotwell. He attended high school in Lawrence.

Mr. Shotwell was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in Germany.

Mr. Shotwell farmed four miles north of Baldwin for many years before retiring. He later moved to the Veteran's Administration Medical Center and Home in Leavenworth where he lived until his death.

Mr. Shotwell was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2068 at Baldwin.

Survivors include a brother, Delbert Shotwell, Denver.

Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends after the services Thursday morning.
