Police reports

-- A 25-year-old Overland Park woman reported Monday that she was raped on March 15, 1992, in a wooded area near North Iowa Street and Lakeview Road. The woman told police she was jogging in the area when a man grabbed her, pulled her into the wooded area and attacked her. A police spokesman said the woman told officers she did not report the incident sooner because she was traumatized by the attack. After receiving counseling, the spokesman said, the woman decided to make a police report.

Injury accidents

-- Steven L. Muiller, 25, 3639 W. 10th, was treated at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and later released after an accident at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at 31st and Iowa, Lawrence police reported today. Police reported that Muiller was eastbound on 31st when the pickup he was driving collided with a pickup being driving north on Iowa by Carl E. Trubom, 75, 1828 N. 1450 Rd. Trubom was cited for failing to yield the right of way and inattentive driving. Muiller was taken to LMH along with a 1-year-old passenger, Corey S. Guymon, also of 3639 W. 10th. Authorities reported that the youth was not injured.

-- Joseph F. Barnes, 20, Rt. 1, was listed in fair condition today at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., with injuries he suffered in an accident between midnight Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday about two miles south of Lawrence on Douglas County Road 458. Douglas County sheriff's officers reported that Barnes was westbound on 458 when he swerved to avoid a pickup truck that had stopped in the roadway. Barnes' pickup veered off the road and into the ditch.

Condition reports

-- Daniel Miller, 48, Lawrence, was listed in fair condition today at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was injured in an accident early Friday about one-half mile south of Lawrence on U.S. Highway 59. Douglas County Sheriff Loren Anderson said Miller was northbound when the pickup truck he was driving left the road, veered into the median and came to rest in a creek just south of the Wakarusa River.

Fire calls

Lawrence firefighters:

-- Stood by at the site of an aircraft landing at 2:01 p.m. Sunday at Lawrence Municipal Airport. The pilot reported the right side landing gear collapsed when it made contact with the ditch between the runway and the taxiway. The plane came to a stop in a grassy area. There were no injuries or fuel leaks.

-- Investigated an alarm system malfunction at 2:06 p.m. Sunday at 3721 Elizabeth Ct.

-- Washed down a gasoline spill at 4:10 p.m. Sunday at Kwik Shop, 3440 W. Sixth.

-- Investigated a smoke scare at 6:18 p.m. Sunday at 1329 E. 16th St. Smoldering lumber was found, and firefighters told the occupant of the house that a permit is required for controlled burning.

-- Investigated an alarm system malfunction at 8:40 a.m. Monday at Kansas University's Lindley Hall.

-- Investigated a smoke scare at 2:15 a.m. today at 1833 Ky. The occupant had fallen asleep while food was cooking on a stove.

-- Investigated an alarm system malfunction at 3:16 a.m. today at the Adams Alumni Center at KU.
