Burglaries and thefts reported

-- A gold and diamond ring valued on a police report at $5,500 was taken about 11 a.m. Saturday from a residence in the 1400 block of Anthony Michael Drive, police reported.

-- A television, VCR and stereo valued together on a police report at $1,500 were taken between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday from a residence in the 2500 block of Princeton.

-- A car stereo and home computer valued at an undisclosed amount were taken between 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Monday from Sonny Hill Chevrolet-Geo, 3400 S. Iowa.

Injury accidents

-- Brett M. Limer, 22, 1419 Ohio, was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being injured in an accident about 3:55 p.m. Sunday at 23rd and Naismith. Limer was southbound on Naismith and attempting to turn left onto 23rd when the car he was driving collided with a 1982 Pontiac being driven west on 23rd by Brian D. Golightly, 20, 1301 W. 24th. Limer was cited for inattentive driving, police reported.

Condition reports

-- James W. Miller, Lawrence, was listed in fair condition today at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., where he was taken after being injured in an accident Monday afternoon in Roeland Park. Miller, a Lawrence police officer, suffered injuries to the left leg when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car.

-- Michael Smith, 46, Lawrence, remained in serious condition today in the intensive care unit of the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., with injuries he suffered in a June 21 car accident on Kansas Highway 32.

-- Alen G. Hines, 42, Carbondale, was listed in fair condition today at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being burned by gasoline that he was pouring into a carburetor Monday afternoon at a Clinton Lake campground.
