A 34-year-old Lawrence woman reported she was raped by an acquaintance about 2 a.m. Saturday in her home in the 400 block of North Street, Lawrence police reported. The woman told police she was in her room asleep when the suspect, a house guest, entered the room and raped her. The suspect fled and the woman went to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment, police reported. Police have not located the suspect, a police spokesman said.
A 32-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested on charges of aggravated battery at 7:45 p.m. Saturday after she allegedly cut a 33-year-old Lawrence man with a razor blade at the man's mobile home in the 1000 block of East 23rd. Police reported that the attack stemmed from domestic problems between the victim and the woman. Police said the man suffered cuts to the face and back. He was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he received 10 stitches for the wounds.
Daniel K. Narcomey, 27, 255 Mich., was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being injured in an accident about 8:50 p.m. Saturday at Michigan and Michigan Way. Narcomey was driving a 1991 Geo south on Michigan when his vehicle collided with a police car that was parked on the side of the road. Officers were not in the car at the time of the collision, according to an accident report. No citations were issued.
