Linwood — Services for Nina Irene Mathia, 89, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Linwood United Methodist Church, Linwood. Burial will be in Deay Cemetery, Eudora.
Mrs. Mathia died Friday, Aug. 27, 1993, at the Tonganoxie Nursing Center. She was born in LeLoup, but had lived in the Tonganoxie area since 1936.
She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Service Club and the Methodist Church in Linwood.
Survivors include four sons, John Mathia, Las Vegas, Nev., Merle Mathia, Spring, Tex., Donald Mathia, Raytown, Mo., and Harold Mathia, Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Betty Holmes, Linwood, and Minnie Chapman, Riverton, N.J.; a sister, Ida Rea, Melvern; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs.
