Injury accidents

-- Donald Ayling, 58, Lawrence, was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after falling from a ladder about 1 p.m. Thursday while working inside the gymnasium at Lawrence High School, 19th and Louisiana.

Condition reports

-- Tim Mitts, 35, Rt. 3, was listed in good condition today at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., where he was taken after being injured Sunday afternoon in a tractor accident.

-- Ronald D. Ball, 56, Princeton, was listed in serious condition today in the intensive care unit at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., with multiple fractures and pulmonary contusions, a hospital spokeswoman said. He was taken to KUMC after an accident Wednesday afternoon at Midland Junction, north of Lawrence.

-- James Ortiz, 34, 927 E. 11th, was listed in serious condition today in the intensive care unit at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., where he was taken after being injured in a bicycle accident Aug. 4, about two miles south of Lawrence.

-- James A. Pilch II, 25, 1900 W. 31st, was listed in fair condition today at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was injured in a motorcycle accident July 20 at 23rd and Naismith.

-- Michael Smith, 46, Lawrence, was listed in fair condition today at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., with injuries he suffered in a June 21 car accident on Kansas Highway 32.

-- Annie Bond, 74, McLouth, was listed in serious condition today in the intensive care unit at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., with injuries she suffered in an automobile accident July 27 on Kansas Highway 16 in Tonganoxie in Leavenworth County.

-- Orville Ray, 82, 1143 E. 1500 Road, was listed in fair condition today at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he was taken after being injured while riding a lawn mower Aug. 2 at his home.
