Two changes in the Journal-World publication schedule will be speeding up delivery to readers.

This Saturday's paper will be printed early Saturday for morning delivery. The early publication will continue for the remainder of the Saturdays when there are home football games at Kansas University. The other home-game Saturdays when subscribers will be getting morning delivery will be Oct. 31 and Nov. 14. Subscribers should receive their papers by 7 a.m.

The second change in the Journal-World's publication schedule will be permanent.

To better serve subscribers' needs and to allow for earlier delivery by carriers as daylight-saving time ends this Sunday, the Journal-World will go to press at 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. The half-hour advance in press time will mean that subscribers will be getting the Journal-World at their homes by 5 p.m. on weekdays.

``Our customers told us that they liked the Saturday morning paper when we tried it several weeks ago, so we're going to continue it on game days. And they've also told us they would appreciate earlier delivery of the paper, so we're seeking to accommodate that, too,'' said Ralph Gage, general manager.
