— Services for Ray D. Shoemaker, 90, McLouth, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McLouth United Methodist Church. Burial will be in McLouth Cemetery.

Mr. Shoemaker died Monday, Oct. 19, 1992, in a Winchester hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1902, in McLouth, the son of Adam and Eleanor Roberson Shoemaker.

He lived in McLouth his entire life. He was a farmer and drove a McLouth school bus for many years.

Mr. Shoemaker was a member of McLouth United Methodist Church, Lyra Lodge No. 256 A.F. & A.M. at McLouth, and Royal Arch Masons Chapter No. 9 at Oskaloosa.

He married Agnes Harding on June 10, 1922, at Oskaloosa. She died in 1990. A son, Harold, died in 1984.

Survivors include three daughters, Jean George and Patty Wear, both of McLouth, and Carolyn LeGer of Topeka; a son, Allen, of McLouth; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to McLouth United Methodist Church or Jefferson County Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hampton-Barrett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, which is handling arrangements.
