— Services for Elena Kiosow, 94, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Kiosow died today, Oct. 6, 1992, at Bethany Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

She was born in Don River, Russia, and moved to Lawrence with her family in 1950. The family, displaced from their Russian Ukraine home when Germans conquered Ukraine in 1942, was brought to Lawrence by the Plymouth Congregational Church.

She moved to Kansas City, Kan., in 1962, and was a member of the Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Church.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Iwan Kiosow, died in 1989.

Survivors include four daughters, Maria Brysky and Dora Stankewsky, Kansas City, Kan., Nadia Frolow, Lawrence, and Irene Chongowo, Don River, Russia; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Church.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Highland Park Funeral Home, where prayer services will be at 7 p.m.
