— Michael Cosey rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns, but sixth-ranked Fort Scott fell to Butler County, 24-21, Saturday in junior college football.

Cosey, a 1992 Lawrence High graduate, also caught four passes for 43 yards for the Greyhounds, 4-1.

A 46-yard field goal by Scott Mann in the second quarter, the Grizzlies' third score in their first four possessions, provided the winning margin.

Tailback Pete Miles scored two TDs for Butler, including one on a 33-yard run with 1:16 left in the first half to make it 24-14 at halftime.

Cosey scored Fort Scott's third touchdown with 1:23 left, and the Greyhounds forced Butler to turn over on downs with 14 seconds left but did not threaten.

Wide receiver Tony LaRocca, a sophomore from Lawrence, caught three passes for 74 yards for the Grizzlies, 2-3.
