— Services for Thekla Laming Wooden, 84, Lee's Summit, Mo., will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational Church in Tonganoxie with the Rev. Sandra Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Wooden died today, May 18, 1992, at John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, Mo.

She was born Oct. 20, 1907, in Tonganoxie to John Caulton and Daisy Poetsch Laming. She was a resident of John Knox Village for the past 15 years, moving from Lawrence.

Mrs. Laming graduated from Kansas University in 1929. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and a homemaker.

She married James C. Wooden on Jan. 2, 1934, in Tonganoxie. He died Dec. 21, 1965.

Survivors include a son, John C. Wooden, Lawrence; a sister, Lenore Jenkins, Lee's Summit, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Quisenberry Funeral Chapel in Tonganoxie. The family suggests memorials to the First Congregational Church in Tonganoxie or the Williams Fund at KU.
