March 31, 1992

Traffic was halted early this afternoon on North Second Street as firefighters cleaned up an anti-freeze spill caused when a small propane delivery truck collided with another truck.

Apparently, anti-freeze leaked from the radiator of the propane truck, and law enforcement personnel halted traffic as firefighters sponged up the spill.

Traffic heading north on North Second Street was stopped at the East Lawrence entrance to the Kansas Turnpike. Southbound traffic periodically was stopped. By 1:30 p.m., at least one lane of traffic was open in both directions.

It was unclear by presstime whether anyone was injured in the accident.
