Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

Purses, wallets, clothing and other items, valued together on a police report at $1,000, were stolen between 10:25 p.m. and 10:50 p.m. Friday from a car parked in the 700 block of New Hampshire.

Police reports

The front window of Louise's Bar, 1009 Mass., was broken between 3:45 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

Condition reports

Jennifer Alvarez, 18, Eudora, was listed in critical condition Saturday evening at Humana Hospital in Overland Park. Alvarez was injured in a one-car accident Thursday on Kansas Highway 10 just west of Interstate 435 in Lenexa. Alvarez' brother, Michael Alvarez, 19, a passenger in the car, was treated and released from Humana.

Fire calls

Lawrence firefighters:

Extricated Kansas University students who were stuck in an elevator at 2:37 p.m. Saturday at Ellsworth Hall.

Responded to a smoke scare at 8:07 p.m. Saturday at 305 Boulder. A spokesman said a faulty washing machine caused the smoke.
