Services for Kenneth Coffey Sr., 63, Lawrence, will be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Oskaloosa. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, also in Oskaloosa.
Mr. Coffey died Thursday, June 11, 1992, at his home.
He was born July 22, 1928, in Fair Play, Mo., to Gertha and Virginia May Welch Coffey.
Mr. Coffey moved to Lawrence in 1953.
He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was employed at Kansas University as a heavy equipment operator from 1959 to 1983, when he retired because of a work-related injury.
He married Josephine Adams on Oct. 8, 1959, in Oskaloosa. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Alfred Elkins, Randy Dean Coffey and Kenneth Coffey Jr., all of Lawrence; five daughters, Barbara Brien, Topeka, Sherry Verhage, Geneva, Neb., Elaine Stockton of Michigan, Linda K. Kelley, Lawrence, and Georgie Ann Coffey, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; two brothers, Herbert Coffey, Springfield, Mo., and Delbert Coffey, Independence, Mo.; four sisters, Fern Miller, Fair Play, Mo., Leanna, of Orange, Calif., Mary, of Maryland, and Reba, of Mississippi; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Rosetta Caton, died Oct. 28, 1983.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hampton-Barrett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.
