— Services for Jack Lee Mathia, 53, Tonganoxie, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie with the Revs. E.T. Mayse and Dennis Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mr. Mathia died Friday, June 12, 1992, in a construction accident in Kansas City, Mo.

He was born April 24, 1939, in Linwood, the son of Earl William and Nina Randel Mathia. He had lived in southern Leavenworth County his entire life.

He had worked many years as a meat cutter and was employed as a carpenter at the time of his death.

He was a member of Carpenter's Union Local No. 61 in Kansas City, Kan.

Mr. Mathia was a member of West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie.

He married Janice F. Berg on Sept. 16, 1956, in Kansas City, Kan. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Danny Mathia, Tonganoxie, Rick Mathia, Jarbalo, and John Mathia, Lansing; his mother, Nina Irene Mathia, Linwood; four brothers, John Mathia, Las Vegas, Don Mathia, Kansas City, Mo., Gene Mathia, Spring, Tex., and Harold Mathia, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Betty Holmes, Linwood, and Minnie Chapman, Riverton, N.J.; and five grandchildren.

A daughter, Robin Ranee Winter, died July 13, 1985.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
