— Services for Mable Ellen Hazzard, 85, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Topeka. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery, Clinton.

Mrs. Hazzard died Sunday, May 31, 1992, in a Topeka nursing home.

She was born Nov. 9, 1906, in Clinton, to Albert James and Gertrude Ingrid Anderson.

Mrs. Hazzard was a member of Central Park Christian Church, Topeka.

She married James Hazzard on Feb. 16, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo. He died in 1975. A son, Ray Hazzard, died Sept. 23, 1991.

She attended two years of business college in Lawrence, and she worked as a seamstress at her home for many years.

Survivors include a son, Robert, Ozawkie; a daughter, Martha Hazzard, Topeka; a brother, Russell Anderson, Paola; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorials to the Central Park Christian Church, 1535 Clay, Topeka 66604, or the American Diabetes Assn., Kansas Affiliate, 3210 E. Douglas, Wichita 67208-3309.
