Services for Herman Henry Puttkammer, 73, Overland Park, will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at D.W. Newcomer's and Sons Funeral Home in Overland Park with the Rev. Keith Hohly officiating.
Mr. Puttkammer died Sunday, May 31, 1992, at his home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1918, in Tomah, Wis., the son of Dorothy and William Puttkammer.
Mr. Puttkammer was a non-commissioned U.S. Air Force officer during World War II and was stationed in Germany. He then returned to the United States, where he worked in the west for the federally funded government project Civilian Conservation Corps. He retired as a crew chief in June 1973 after 33 years as an air traffic controller.
He married Irene Ottenbacher on May 2, 1947, in Munich, Germany. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Anita Meyer, Lawrence, and Heidi Robison, Olathe; a son, Herman Leon, Overland Park; two brothers, George and Vic, of Wisconsin, and two grandsons.
