— Services for Bertha I. McHenry, 74, McLouth, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McLouth United Methodist Church. The Rev. Elbert Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in McLouth Cemetery.

Mrs. McHenry died Thursday, July 30, 1992, at the Cherokee Lodge Nursing Home, Oskaloosa.

She was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Onaga, the daughter of Noyce H. and Sarah Taylor Hayward.

She was a homemaker and lived in the McLouth area most of her life. She was a member of McLouth United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was the church's organist and pianist for many years.

Mrs. McHenry was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 82 of Tonganoxie. She belonged to the Senior Citizens Club and All Sew Club, both of McLouth.

She married Harold "Mac" McHenry on Jan. 16, 1937, at McLouth. He died July 27, 1987.

Survivors include a son, David McHenry, McLouth; two sisters, Zella Rough, McLouth, and Myra Marcoux, Centralia; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to McLouth United Methodist Church.

Friends may call after today at Hampton-Barrett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
