A man charged with robbing the Wellsville Bank twice last fall will be held without bond, a U.S. District Court judge ordered Thursday.
Dale Alan Robertson, Olathe, is charged with two counts of bank robbery and one count of using a firearm during the first robbery. More than $7,500 was stolen from the Wellsville Bank on Aug. 23 and Sept. 4.
Judge Richard D. Rogers also scheduled a competency hearing for 9 a.m. Feb. 18 as requested by the federal public defender's office, said Brent Anderson, first assistant U.S. attorney.
If Robertson is found competent to stand trial, he will be arraigned that day, Anderson said.
