— Services for Albert R. "Ozzie" Herman, 80, Perry, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hampton-Barrett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Perry.

Mr. Herman died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1992, at his home of natural causes.

He was born July 14, 1911, in Topeka, the son of Jacob and Catherine Allendorf Herman. He lived in Topeka until 1958 when he moved to Perry.

Mr. Herman served in the U.S. Army in World War II, and he worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Topeka for 25 years before retiring in 1974.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and United Rubber Workers Local No. 307, both of Topeka.

He married Genevieve H. Clair on July 4, 1948, in Topeka. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Alicia Moon, Kathryn Valdivia, Topeka, and Patricia Zimmerman, Perry; three sons, Bernard, Overbrook, Ronnie, San Diego, and Steven, Rantoul; one sister, Sylvia Montgomery, Topeka; four brothers, Joseph, Phoenix, John, Columbia, Mo., and Anthony and Sylvester, both of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assn. or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.
