Services for Harley A. Davenport, 75, Lawrence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Dorsey-Liberty Post No. 14 of the American Legion and Lawrence Lodge No. 6 A.F. & A.M. will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Davenport died Monday, Jan. 27, 1992, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka. He was a lifelong Lawrence resident.
He was born May 6, 1916, in Lawrence, the son of Charles Albert and Anna Edna (Ford) Davenport.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a carpenter and millwright and a member of Carpenters Local No. 2279. He formerly was a parter in Jayhawk Bowling and Supply, Lawrence. He was a member of A.F. & A.M. and the Dorsey Liberty Post No. 14 of the American Legion.
Survivors include three sons, Richard and Michael, both of Lawrence, and Charles, Prattsville, Ala.; a brother, Wayne, Lawrence; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
