Law enforcement report Burglaries and thefts reported

Several pieces of jewelry, including a gold ring with 30 diamonds, were taken between 9:10 a.m. and 6:40 p.m. Tuesday from a residence in the 3500 block of Yale Road. The jewelry was valued on a police report at $1,305.

Jewelry, coins and a .25-caliber semiautomatic gun, valued together on a police report at $1,288, were taken sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Tuesday from a residence in the 2600 block of Louisiana.

Condition reports

Ryan L. Garrison, 19, 1327 Covington Ct., remained in fair condition this morning at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., where he is being treated for a closed head injury. Garrison, a KU freshman, was injured Jan. 9 in a one-car accident on the KU campus.

George Musick, 81, 1101 Vt., remained in fair condition this morning at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he is being treated for a broken hip. Musick was struck by a car about 1 p.m. Friday as he attempted to cross 11th near Kentucky.
