David Evans, a partner in Gould Evans Associates, a Lawrence-based architectural firm, is the new chair of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce for 1992.
Evans, who was elected by the chamber's board of directors, will begin serving a one-year term on April 1. Gary Sollars, executive vice president of Charlton Manley Inc., was chosen as chair-elect.
Vice chairs for 1992 and their areas of oversight are: Smitty Belcher, president of Huxtable & Associates, economic development; Dan Watkins, attorney, community affairs; Jane Bateman, owner of Jane Bateman Inc., membership; and David Ambler, Kansas University vice chancellor for student affairs, operations.
