Constance Congdon knows a good way to show contemporary alienation is through aliens. And modern life is alien indeed, as shown in Congdon's play "Tales of the Lost Formicans.''
"Formicans,'' a 1989 play, is being given an uneven production under director Penny Weiner at the Lawrence Community Theatre, 1501 N.H. Although the production doesn't seem to go far enough with the script, several performances keep Congdon's spirit of strangeness alive.
