Law enforcement report Burglaries and thefts reported
Jewelry and stereo equipment valued together on a police report at $1,690 were taken between 10 a.m. Jan. 1 and 1 p.m. Jan. 11 from a room at Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, 1537 Tenn., police reported today.
Several nail guns, staple guns and other roofing supplies valued together on a police report at $2,650 were taken between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 4 p.m. Friday from Lawrence Roofing Supply, 1120 E. 23rd.
Jewelry and coins valued together on a police report at $4,890 were taken between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday from a house in the 700 block of Kasold.
Ryan L. Garrison, 19, 1327 Covington Ct., remained in good condition this morning at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., where he is being treated for a closed head injury. Garrison, a KU freshmen, was injured Jan. 9 in a one-car accident on the KU campus. District court Criminal case proceedings
A hearing originally scheduled for today has been continued to Feb. 25 for a Kansas University professor who allegedly placed glue on the door lock of a Lawrence police car in December and then fled. William O. Scott, 59, 1718 Vt., is charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, obstruction of the legal process, eluding a police officer and reckless driving. He also was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
