Dodge City Graveside services for Henry "Bill" Harris Jr., 68, Dodge City, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Maple Grove Cemetery here with the Rev. Arthur Foote officiating.
Mr. Harris died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1992, at Humana Hospital in Dodge City.
He was born Sept. 12, 1923, in Omaha, Neb., the son of William and Verniece Harris. He worked for Ted Page construction from 1963 to 1973. He then went to work for Fairmont Food in Dodge City until 1979, when he moved to Lawrence and worked for All-Star Dairy until retiring and returning to Dodge City in 1984.
Mr. Harris was a veteran of World War II and a member of Teamsters Union Local 553 in Lawrence.
He married Mary Barfield on Feb. 13, 1954, in Dodge City. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Raymond, of the home, William, Lawrence; a daughter, Pamela Foster, Bonner Springs; a stepson, Gary Barfield, Haviland; two stepdaughters, Reta Barfield, of the home, and Theresa Barfield, Arvada, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Henry Harris Memorial Fund in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 Sixth Ave., Dodge City, 67801.
