— Services for Cora E. Hart, 89, Perry, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Perry United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Barbara Moore officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Perry.

Mrs. Hart died Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at a Topeka nursing home.

She was born Aug. 21, 1902, at Mont Ida, the daughter of Joseph and Carrie Hoffmeier Seeber. She attended high school in Garnett and graduated from Lawrence Business College.

She worked in banks as a bookkeeper and cashier in Williamstown, Colony and Perry. She was a secretary in the Kansas Senate and House, and in the secretary of state's office under Frank Ryan.

Mrs. Hart also was a financial secretary and bookkeeper for Thomas B. Wilson and the Wilson Ranch in Jefferson County. She worked more than 30 years for N.R. Hamm & Hamm Construction Co., Perry, as office manager and continued to serve as recording secretary and treasurer.

She served as a Republican Party committeewoman and as vice chairwoman of the Jefferson County GOP Committee.

Mrs. Hart was a member of Perry United Methodist Church and Rebekah Circle of Perry. She was 50-year member of the former Ramona Chapter 431 of Perry which is now Adah Chapter 7 of Lawrence and a member of Jayhawk Study Club of Perry, Perry homemakers unit, Perry Senior Citizens, Topeka Travel Club, Native Sons and Daughters, Jefferson County Historical Society and Jefferson County Genealogical Society.

She married Clarence Glee Hart on Nov. 19, 1927. He died in 1958.

Survivors include a daughter, Lois Marie Groendycke, Tustin, Calif.; a son, William H., Columbus, Ohio; three granddaughters; a stepgrandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Hampton-Barrett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa.
