HONOLULU Dana Stubblefield's biological clock need never have adjusted back to Kansas time.
Just over three weeks after being named Kansas' most valuable player in the Jayhawks' 23-20 win over Brigham Young in the Aloha Bowl, Stubblefield will be back in Hawaii to play for the West squad in the Hula Bowl.
Kickoff will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Aloha Stadium. It'll be televised live on channel 27.
A 6-3, 285-pound defensive tackle, Stubblefield was credited with three sacks and three quarterback hurries during the Aloha Bowl, a performance that helped him become one of seven Big Eight players on the West team.
Colorado has four players in the Hula Bowl offensive tackle Jim Hansen, linebackers Greg Biekert and Chad Brown, and cornerback Deon Figures. Missouri wide receiver Victor Bailey was selected, as was Nebraska offensive guard Will Sheilds.
The West will be coached by UCLA's Terry Donahue. Bob Wagner of Hawaii and Texas' John Mackovic will assist Donahue.
Notre Dame's Lou Holtz, Ohio State's John Cooper and Grambling State's Eddie Robinson will coach the East.
