— Services for Everett Junior Oshel, 67, Ottawa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mr. Oshel died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1992, at Delmar Gardens Nursing Center, Olathe.

He was born Nov. 3, 1924, at DeSoto, the son of Everett F. and Ida May (Lanier) Oshel.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A carpenter, Mr. Oshel moved to Ottawa in 1946 from DeSoto. In the mid-1950s he moved to California, and he returned to Ottawa in 1968.

After he retired from the carpentry business, Mr. Oshel was employed for a few years as a night watchman at Ottawa University.

He was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include two sisters, Katherine Hiatt, Ottawa, and Barbara Skeet, Lawrence.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. today until service time Tuesday at the mortuary.

The family requests memorials to Olathe Hospice, sent in care of the mortuary.
