Topeka Services for Eleanor Elmore, 68, Topeka, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gage Park Baptist Church in Topeka. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
She died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1992, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born March 5, 1923, at Benton Harbor, Mich., the daughter of Ralph Bowen and Jessie Hayne Howard.
A Topeka resident for 36 years, she was field director for the Kaw Valley Girl Scout Council for 20 years and was active in Lawrence Girl Scouts. She was recipient of the council's highest award, the "Thanks" badge. She retired in 1991 for health reasons.
She was a member of the Gage Park Baptist Church and the Topeka and Shawnee County Litter Control Commission.
She married Carroll Myers Elmore on May 28, 1947, at Berrinen County, Mich. They were divorced.
Survivors include four daughters, Christine Elmore, Janet Tenholder, Beckee Niemackl and Julie Elmore, all of Topeka; two brothers, Bowen Howard, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Frank Howard, Benton Harbor, Mich., and two grandsons.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. Monday at the Newcomer Diffenderfer Funeral Home, Topeka, where the family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
