Racine, Wis. A memorial service for Mary Marsh Gillett, 84, Racine, will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church here. The Rev. John F. De Vries will officiate. A private burial will be held at Mound Cemetery, Racine, before the service.
Mrs. Gillett died Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at a Racine medical center.
She was born May 22, 1907, in Lisbon, N.D., the daughter of Edwin and Helen Marsh.
She was a resident of Racine since 1929.
Mrs. Gillett was an elementary school teacher with the Racine Unified School District for 26 years. She spent 22 of those years teaching at N.D. Fratt School.
She was an active member at First Presbyterian Church for 60 years, and also was a member of P.E.O. Chapter AR, Lawyers Wives of Racine, Retired Teachers Assn., and the Women's Club, all in Racine.
Mrs. Gillett was a resident of Presbyterian Manor in Lawrence, Kan., from June 1991 to December 1991, before returning to Racine.
She married Lyman Burt Gillett on Dec. 23, 1939, in Racine. He died Jan. 30, 1974.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan Givens, Lawrence, Kan., Martha Spacek, Topeka, Kan., and Nancy Reeser, Racine; two sisters, Carolyn Curtis, Johnson City, Tenn., and Jean Olsen, Minneapolis, Minn.; a brother, E.L. Marsh, Greeley, Colo.; and eight grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the organization of the donor's choice.
