Kansas City, Mo. — Memorial services for Edward F. Carr, 67, Raytown, Mo., will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Sheil Colonial Chapel, Kansas City, Mo. Burial will be in Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill.
Mr. Carr died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1992, at his home.
He was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Rock Island, Ill., to Michael and Mary Cunningham Carr. He had lived in the Raytown area since 1956 and was an insurance adjuster for the Bituminous Casualty Corp. He retired in 1983 after 27 years with the company.
Mr. Carr served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korea War. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
He married Joyce L. Washburn on Dec. 16, 1945, in Rock Island, Ill. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Stephen, Lenexa; three daughters, Anne Carr, Lawrence, Kathleen Carr, Independence, Mo., and Jennifer Jones, Kansas City, Mo.; four brothers, Michael, John and Patrick, all of California, and Daniel, Rock Island, Ill.; a sister, Madge Carney, of Arizona; seven grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sheil Colonial Chapel.
