— Services for Allan A. Coffman, 75, Tonganoxie, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Quisenberry Funeral Home Chapel with Arthur Northup officiating. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.

Mr. Coffman died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1992, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 7, 1916, in Tonganoxie, the son of John and Lulu (Cleveland) Coffman. He was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Coffman served in the U.S. Army in World War II, and he worked for the Kansas Highway Department for 19 years until he retired in 1979.

He was a member of the Tonganoxie post of the American Legion.

He married Ruby V. Garner on May 27, 1937, in McLouth. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Allan, Baldwin, and Joe, Tonganoxie; three daughters, Mavis Garvin, Kansas City, Mo., Ruby Gardner, Winchester, and Linda Sue Fangohr, McLouth; three sisters, Helen Thurber, Topeka; Carrie Beers, Mesquite, Tex., and Elaine Runyan, Silver Lake; 18 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn. in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
