— Services for Henry D. Hettinger, 76, Greeley, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Adamson Memorial Chapel here. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor.

Mr. Hettinger died Friday, Jan. 3, 1992, at the Bonell Good Samaritan Center in Greeley.

He was born Feb. 25, 1915, in Fort Collins, Colo., the son of David and Sophia (Jung) Hettinger.

Mr. Hettinger lived his entire life in the Windsor and Greeley areas. He farmed with his father and also was a truck driver.

He tended bar at the White Horse in Greeley, the American Legion in Windsor and Bruce's Bar in Severence, Colo.

Mr. Hettinger joined the Navy in March 1944 and served aboard the U.S.S. Casablanca. He received the American Service and Asiatic-Pacific medals.

A member of American Legion Post No. 109, Mr. Hettinger moved to Greeley in 1986 after suffering a stroke.

He married Leona Jacoby on Dec. 6, 1936, in Windsor. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Lyle D., Lawrence, Kan.; Charles Lee, Greeley, and Ronald, Windsor; a sister, Mollie Bath, Loveland; and eight grandchildren.
