Ottawa Services for Andrea Hernandez, 75, Wellsville and formerly of Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Earl Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.
Mrs. Hernandez died Friday, Jan. 3, 1992, at Wellsville Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Mexico to Theodosio and Cesaria Segovia Ruiz. Her family moved to the United States in 1919 and lived in Wellsville, Edgerton, LeLoup.
Mrs. Hernandez attended Wellsville schools. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Ottawa. She was a volunteer for Ottawa Head Start.
She married Henio Manuel Hernandez on Dec. 19, 1948, in Ottawa. They lived in Ottawa until 1990. He survives at a Wellsville nursing home.
Other survivors include three sons, Alexandro Jimenez, Lawrence, Eugene Hernandez, Ottawa, and John Hernandez, Pomona; a daughter, Margarita Amador, Kansas City, Mo.; three brothers, Manuel Ruiz and Johnny Ruiz, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Francisco Ruiz, Topeka; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Franklin County Chapter of the American Diabetes Assn. in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. today until noon Monday at the funeral home and from 12:30 p.m. Monday until 2 p.m. at the church.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
