A Berryton man reported Thursday that vandals apparently damaged a headstone and property, valued together at $1,350, at Stull Cemetery.

The man told Douglas County sheriff's officers that between 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday, a flagpole and light pole conduit along with the headstone had been damaged at the cemetery, located about six miles west of Lawrence at the intersection of Douglas County roads 442 and 1023E. According to reports, the flagpole and light pole conduit had been bent.

Sheriff's officers reported today that they have made no arrests, and no suspects have been identified.
